Buyer Profile

What I'm Looking For in a Business

I'm a serious, relationship-first buyer seeking to acquire and grow one exceptional small business. Here's exactly what I'm looking for — and what you can expect from working with me.

Acquisition Criteria

The Businesses I'm Targeting

Geography

Continental United States

Open to acquisitions across the continental US. Strong preference for businesses with deep community ties and local brand recognition.

Deal Size

$500,000 – $2,000,000 SDE

Targeting businesses with $500k to $2M in Seller's Discretionary Earnings. Revenue typically $1M–$8M depending on margins.

Industries

E-commerce, Tech, Sports/Events, Home Services

Focused on sectors with proven demand, recurring revenue potential, and clear paths to operational improvement.

Business Profile

Established, Profitable, Owner-Operated

Businesses with 3+ years of operating history, consistent profitability, and an owner ready to transition to their next chapter.

Team

Existing Staff Retained

I value the people who built the business. My goal is to retain key employees and preserve the culture the owner has created.

Deal Structure

Flexible — SBA, Seller Financing, Equity

Open to SBA loans, seller financing, and creative deal structures. I prioritize terms that work for both parties.

Ideal Business

What the Right Business Looks Like

I'm not looking for a turnaround. I'm looking for a business that's already working — one where the owner has built something real, and is ready to hand it to someone who will protect and grow it.

Consistent revenue and profitability for 3+ years

Strong customer relationships and repeat business

Clear operational processes (even if undocumented)

Owner willing to provide transition support

Employees who are invested in the business's success

A brand with genuine community recognition

Not a Fit

What I'm Not Seeking

Being clear about what isn't a fit saves everyone time. I'm transparent about my criteria so sellers can self-select and we can have honest conversations from the start.

Businesses requiring significant turnaround or restructuring

Highly distressed or loss-making operations

Businesses with no existing team or systems

Deals requiring more than $2M SDE valuation

Industries outside my target sectors

Sellers unwilling to provide any transition period

The Process

What Sellers Can Expect

My process is built on respect, transparency, and moving at a pace that works for you.

01

Initial Conversation

A confidential, no-pressure call to understand your business and goals. No NDA required at this stage — just an honest conversation.

02

Preliminary Review

I review basic financials and business information. I move quickly and respect your time. You'll have a clear answer within days, not weeks.

03

Letter of Intent

If there's mutual interest, I present a clear, fair LOI. No games, no lowball offers. My terms reflect what the business is actually worth.

04

Due Diligence & Close

A thorough but efficient due diligence process. I work with experienced advisors and aim to close within 60–90 days of a signed LOI.
